At Faith & Discovery STEAM Academy, we believe technology is one of the many tools God has provided to help us learn, create, solve problems, and serve others.

As technology continues to evolve, our responsibility is not to fear innovation, but to teach students how to use it wisely, ethically, safely, and responsibly.

Our students will become more than technology users.

Prompt engineering is the ability to communicate effectively with AI tools by asking meaningful questions, providing clear instructions, evaluating responses, and thinking critically about the information received.

Students will learn to:

  • Ask better questions.
  • Think critically.
  • Verify information.
  • Recognize bias and misinformation.
  • Improve writing through revision.
  • Brainstorm creative solutions.
  • Solve authentic problems.
  • Use AI responsibly in academic and real-world settings.

Our goal is to teach students how to think alongside AI while maintaining academic integrity and independent reasoning.

Faith & Discovery believes meaningful learning requires balance.

Technology is an important instructional resource, but it should never replace:

  • Face-to-face conversations
  • Hands-on exploration
  • Outdoor learning
  • Creative play
  • Collaboration
  • Worship
  • Reading physical books
  • Building relationships
  • Service to others

We intentionally design learning experiences that integrate technology alongside discussion, movement, creativity, experimentation, and real-world problem-solving.

Limiting excessive screen time does not mean limiting innovation.

Instead, we strive to provide purposeful technology experiences that enrich learning while protecting students’ social, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.
