Welcome to Faith & Discovery STEAM Academy.
My name is Dr. Robin R. Simmons, and it is both a tremendous honor and a humbling privilege to serve as the Principal of Faith & Discovery STEAM Academy.
When I reflect on this opportunity, I don’t see it as simply accepting another leadership position. I see it as answering God’s call.
Throughout Scripture, God chose ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary purposes. Moses questioned his ability. Esther stepped forward in courage. Nehemiah rebuilt what others believed could not be restored. Peter stumbled but became a leader of the early Church. None of them were perfect, yet God used their experiences, strengths, weaknesses, and faithfulness to accomplish His work.
I certainly do not claim to be perfect. I am simply grateful that God continues to extend His grace, His mercy, and His guidance each day. My desire is to faithfully serve wherever He leads me and to use the gifts He has entrusted to me for His glory.
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at the age of seven, and my relationship with Him continues to shape every decision I make. My faith is not simply something I teach—it is the foundation upon which I strive to live. Long before I earned degrees or accepted leadership positions, I learned that true success is measured by faithfulness, integrity, humility, and a heart for serving others.
Like many people, my life has included seasons of joy and seasons of profound challenge. Those experiences have strengthened my faith, deepened my compassion, and reminded me that God often prepares us through life’s trials before entrusting us with greater responsibility. Looking back, I can see how every classroom, every leadership role, every success, every disappointment, every lesson learned, and every opportunity to serve has prepared me for this moment.
Faith & Discovery STEAM Academy feels like the place where everything God has been teaching me throughout my life comes together.
I have always believed that children are far more than test scores.
Every child is uniquely created by God with gifts waiting to be discovered, talents waiting to be developed, and a purpose waiting to be fulfilled.
That belief inspired the Kingdom House System—a framework that celebrates the unique ways God equips each person to contribute to His Kingdom. Rather than asking children to become like everyone else, we should help them discover who God created them to be. I would like to end with the following promise.
